Ch 27

James had let the seven warrior to team up and do their training by themselves while he would go to do his new mission.

Mission : The devils has started sending their warriors and are trying to break through the forest barrier. User has to stop them from their advancement.

Reward : Iron fist cultivation technique.

James had gone through the forest and he had noticed some traces of movement while scouting the area.

'It seems a lot of people have traveled from this area.'James thought and continue following the traces and ultimately reached a waterfall and the tracks were stopping here.

James then moved towards the waterfall and tried to enter the waterfall but he was suddenly stopped by a barrier.

ding! ding!

You have found the cave of devil from where the devil will start their invasion.

Mission updated!

Mission : Destroy the plan of invasion of the devils and protect the world.

James returned to the outer region and had found the seven warriors during the return and had told them about the barrier near the waterfall.

"So you found a barrier near the core region of the three guardians."The dragon elder was not having a good premonition as the devil had started creating troubles for various races and there were some races who had started to rebel and support the devils which was increasing the tension among the races as no one was able to trust others.

"Drek bring me the map of the whole forest."The dragon grand elder was analyzing the area and see where the cave can come from and noticed that the area near the barrier was the area of turtle and the snake clan.

"Elder I think the turtles will never help the devils as they were the clan among the three to be humiliated the most and had always treated the devils seriously. So turtle clan should not be the traitor , but I think the snake clan can be as they had always been greedy for more power and they might be thinking of using the devils to injure the lion clan and then making themselves the head of the three clans as the turtle are not that ambitious and would normally live a peaceful life."Drek the think tank of the dragons was giving his suggestion according to the clan elder

The dragon grand elder thought about what Derek's said about the snake clan and had a dignified look as the snake clan was huge and if they are betraying then it will create a chaos and that would give the devils a chance to retaliate.

The dragon grand elder sighed and said to Derek " I want you to sent the spies and see what the snake clans are doing and also let the allied clans to start prepare for any unexpected situation and send
3 elders and some subordinates to help the human kid to stop the devil to get out of the forest and if needed they can retaliate to force them back."

Snake lord betrayal

"Marqius sir ,the lion has sent a messenger to the dragons."Snake lord said to an old man sitting while kneeling

The old man was thinking about the situation and then said "Snake you are our core member so you should know what you are going to do?Right."

The old man glared at the snake lord who was sweating.

"Yes sir."Saying that the snake lord left the dark room.

The old man waited for the snake to left.

 "Yasure go and prepare the assassins to clear the old turtle turf and bring his head to me."

James and his group had finally entered the main core of the forest and had stopped killing the beasts as the the core was divided into three territories and it was prohibited to kill in these areas as they were the areas where the border forces were guarding against any devil's sudden attacks.

"Sir this core is where the guardian troops are deployed and beyond this area is the territory of the devils and these guardians are trying to stop any attacks of the devils. The area is divided among three clans the golden lion , blue turtle and the green snakes. The golden lion clans acts as the leader of the three clans and also controls the main guardian force 'the devil regiment'. The devil regiment has been a mythical force developed by the ancestor of the golden lion clan and also known as the golden mountain as he was able to defend with the cities with his regiment from the attacks of the devils and he has never been defeated." Vorus was explaining the history of the border to James and continued " The blue turtle and the green clan was saved by the gold lion clan and so they decided to become subordinates of them and so they are also guarding the city since then."

"So the two clans have been supporting the golden lion clan ?"James asked with suspicion 

Vorus nodded.

James was not able to believe as to maintain a loyal support this long either the golden clan was some gods or the two clans only had weaklings.

Vorus also saw the surprised face of James but he didn't think it to be weird as any clan who would be progressing for years will not support any other clan as a subordinate.

"Turtle I can understand that they were living a simple honorable life but a snake clan living without a back stab."

James was still not able to believe it and he knows that an honest snake clan is more dangerous than a treacherous snake clan as no one knows when the snake will bite you.

Seeing that they had a good rest then James decided to bypass the border territory and then go towards the edge of the devils territory and see what activities they are having.

"Sir our messenger was killed."

Lion lord then looked towards the sky and tried to control his mood and finally decided.

"Go and ask the old turtle and old snake to have their defense up and start mobilizing the devil regiment and ask the generals to keep up their guards up as the devils may sneak them. Also use the underground tunnel to evacuate the new generation of our clan , we might not be able to  survive this war."

Lion lord sighed and his assistant left the room.

While the seven were fighting the beasts in the way , James was training with Nactoral's method and and he was also fighting some beasts in their path as he needed more fighting experience to increase his body's efficiency while training.

In the core region the seven of them were able to fight with the help of each other and they didn't need any help from James in any situation. They had created their own style of team fighting and were able to fight against any common beast in the core region.

James was able to sense that the elite beasts of the core region were trying to avoid them so he knew that some powerhouses were following them and were keeping away the elite beasts from the seven of them to avoid any mishaps.

After three days of continues fighting the seven of them had gained enough experience and were able to kill an common beast easily and James was giving more ideas on how to get more advantage over their enemies with their team work and how to switch in between them during the fight while changing their strategies.

After training in increasing the cooperation in the team for 1 week , each member was able to guess what the other mates advantages were and knew that more about himself like what kind of enemy should I tank or not and when to switch. The team work had increased a lot and so increasing the overall strength of the team.

After watching them fight for another two days , James decided to led them into the second part of the core region as they needed more powerful opponents to increase their experience.

[Forest's core region is divided into three parts :
Part 1 : Common beasts and some elite.
Part 2 : Mostly elite and superior elite
Part 3 : Only Supreme elite or overlord elite]

"You seven have enough experience and so we will go further into the region but the opponents will be stronger so you seven will be needed to work in perfect sync like you did in the past two days."James said that and led them into the second part of the core region.

This part of the region was not that populated like before as the elite beasts were spread in the region and they didn't move a lot as there superior elite beasts who would target them if they move a lot.

While James was leading the seven companions for the training there were 3 beasts sitting and discussing something. Snake , Lion and Turtle.

Snake lord was the first one to start the discussion " We should do something fast against the devils or we will be all slaughtered by them ."

The rest two were silent for sometime before lord turtle spoke.

"Some water beasts have already started submitting to the devils and if this goes on we three will have to face the rebellion."Turtle sighed and then the two looked towards the Lion

The lion was now thinking as the he needed to held the decision as the ruler of the forest and he internally knew that he needed to do something fast or the problem will increase.

The lion sighed and then looked towards the other two two and said "We should discuss this problem with the dragons from the ancient city as only they can help us from the devils."

The turtle nodded and said " Only dragons can take on the devils and we need to act fast."

The snake lord agreed and then the meeting was over.

The snake and turtle left while the lion was sitting alone.

Then an ant enter the room and sat on the shoulder of the lion and whispered into his ears something.

The lion then passed his message for the request of help to the ant and sent him towards the ancient city.

Training Part 1

James led the 7 warriors to the inner parts of the forest as he the outer parts didn't have strong beasts and so it was useless to fight against them.

He could sense that someone was following them from the ancient city and they were stronger than him so he was not worried about the security of them.

James when reached the center of the inner region he stopped and then looked towards the seven and started giving his instructions " Allisa go and check the region around us and give me survey of all he beasts in this region."

Allisa nodded and left while James looked towards the rest and said "Your main motto will be to work together and use the advantage of the whole team. Vorus you being the leader of this group need to take in account of the strengths of each member with their weakness. You will also be the lead attacker of this team as you are have the most powerful attacks. Mortie you being a divine elephants have high defense and a comparable attack but you have slow speed so Vorus you need to use Mortie as a tank to stop the enemies attack and then giving heavy damage to them but you need to take in account of the enemy as if the enemy has high attack with speed then Mortie cannot be used as a tank or meat shield then Vorus you need to use someone who could dodge the enemies attacks."

James was trying to give the strategies on how to deal with different types of enemies with the help of his his other members of the team and try to be at minimum disadvantage and always taking advantage of their enemies weakness.

James then saw that Vorus understood something but not all and then looked towards him and said with embarrassment "Sir I was able to get something but its too complicated." Vorus said it truthfully and James was happy that he was able to say the truth and said "You are not to worry about that as Richard is the one who should worry about as he is the strategist of the team so you could dump all this thinking to him."

Vorus's eyes shone and looked towards Richards as he now knew that he was the leader but he would not being needed to use a lot of his brain as that would be done by Richard.

Richard was not feeling well about the shining eyes of Vorus and knew that he had been given all the mental work of the team.

Allisa came back and then reported to James"Sir the inner region has been divided into 4 parts and each part is under the rule of a strong beast. The four beasts are almost equal in strength . The four beasts are Red python , blue ape king , infernal lion and a demon name Yakatoki."

James heard about the four regions and then looked towards Richard as he was now the team's strategist so he would be saying his opinion.

Richard was silent and thought about it before saying "We should take the demon first as demon have a common weakness that is light type magic so I can weaken the demon  with my light magic while Mortie can take the damage from the demon while the speed of the demons in not fast most of the time but the defense will be high as the demons mainly train their bodies to a extremity leading to a strong natural defense and adding the dark magic , it increases but a few times. So we will be letting Vorus do the heavy damage while Allisa can use arrows with light magic induced to get the enemies weak points like eyes and so."

Richard was telling the rest of the members the strategy of how to deal against the demon.

James was happy that the seven of them were trying to work together.

James was following the seven of them while they were entering the region under Yakatori as he knew that they could deal with the demon but it safe to follow them.

Yakatori saw that some people were invading his territory without fear and so was instantly angry and decided deal with them.

He ran towards the direction of the seven and was reached and shouted in anger "You seven punks what are you doing in my territory? If you don't get out I will kill you."

The seven of them didn't wait and directly decided to attack.

Vorus was the first one deal with the demon and directly attacked the demon was transforming into full dragon form and used the claw for an surprise attack.

The attack was not that fast so the demon able to use his dark magic on his defense and able to defend himself against the surprise attack of Vorus.

The demon was cursing the seven as he hadn't thought that these kids had the guts to go against him.

Demon was going to counterattack Vorus but was interrupted by Mortie who had also transformed into his armored elephant form and was attacking with the mace holded by his trunks.

Mortie was holding back the demon while Richard had used a light spell and surrounded the demon.

The team was doing just fine and was able to deal with the demon slowly.

The demon tried to retaliate but he was not able to get past Mortie and after some time the demon was a spent force and was then killed by Vorus and Lucient as both of them used fire attacks on the demon together and burnt the demon.

James sighed as he knew that the seven of them were now able to work together and rest of the three big bosses were just going to killed by the seven.

James led the seven of them after letting them rest for some time and in 1 weeks they were able to kill the rest of the three regional bosses and now they had experience to go to the core region.

7 Warriors

The dwarf first opened his mouth " We dwarfs are not the best fighter but we are the best blacksmith so I will send a promising young dwarf who will be able to train into a war blacksmith."

The dragon nodded in agreement and said "Yeah you dwarfs don't have enough strength but they are equally important in a battle as a war cannot be won without weapons."

All the other six nodded with the old dragon.

The old dragon continued " We can use this chance to strengthen these 7 warriors by sending them with Nactorals legacy holder , where they would be able to improve themselves during life and death battles and at the same time we can also make them an example of warriors among the young blood."

The human representative nodded and said "Old dragon is right what we need now is heroes who will step up to fight against the devils and protect their races as although the devils have weakened a lot but we can't take them lightly."

All the rest of the members nodded and then the old dragon concluded "So all the seven guardians will organize a competition in their respective races and the winner of the competition will be sent on a punitive expedition against the devils and if they come back alive , we will have the first batch of heroes who will pave a path for others."

All the elders left for the preparation of of the selection of the young hero.

After three days , each race had selected a young promising person from their clan and sent him/her to the ancient city where they will be lead by James for going to the forest for training while seeing the situation of devils invasion.

James was standing in front of seven young talented people , although the seven wanted to retaliate against James but there was the old antique elder of dragon beside them and so the atmosphere was too quiet.

To ease the mood the old dragon opened his mouth "You seven have come here or two reasons . First to train under James . Second to fight against the devils as they are staging for a comeback so you will be the ones to start the fight , so you people have to obey the orders of James and one more thing , James is the last disciple of dragon emperor Nactoral so you should be respecting him and following his instruction." Saying that the old dragon left the group of James and the seven warriors.

The seven warriors were left shocked as they knew that Nactoral had died but they didn't knew that someone had accepted his legacy. It meant a lot to be a successor of a dragon as he would be receiving the remaining amount of energy cultivated by the dragon before his death. And for James to have received the energy cultivated by the dragon emperor that would be a lot stronger and would be enough for him to reach at the level of an elder dragon so they knew now that they could not mess with him.

James saw that the seven warriors had a dignified expression after the old dragon had told them about having received legacy of Nactoral.

James was feeling happy in his heart as they were being arrogant and were not even putting him in their eyes but now they were looking at him seriously , so James opened his mouth after some silence " You all should know that the devils are going to start an invasion to our home but we don't when."

All the seven warriors were shocked as they knew that James was going to train them but they didn't knew about the devils.

James continued " You seven are the best talents of your races so I will be helping you to train coordination among you as against the devils we need team work while fighting as to use the whole potential of each other without interfering among each other."

"So I heard from the old dragon that among you Vorus [dragon] is the strongest while Richard is the smartest. So the leader of the team will be Vorus and the strategist will be Richard. Hugrith [dwarf] will be in charge of the weapons , Allisa [Elf] will be scout and also target the enemies weakness , Lucient [phoenix] and Mortie will help Vorus at front lines to deal with the enemies and Kitsune will use support magic with Richard."James pointed out the roles of the seven members and then led them to the transmission of the forest of death.

The old dragon was sitting in the head seat and there 50 dragons looking at him with seriousness.

The old dragon then started the meeting " I think you every one has already known about the situation so we the old elders of the seven clans have chosen seven young warriors and sent them with Nacotral's successor James to train . So we are going to send two guardians to protect them from adverse situations so the seventh and the ninth elder will follow them."

The ninth and the seventh elders nodded.

The old dragon continued "So Vorus is the best young dragon of the current generation so after he comes back from the training . he will be send to the accept the inheritance of the ancients and will be crowned as the new dragon emperor."

All the elders knew what dragon emperor knew as they all had accepted the legacy of the ancients and two of them had received the title excluding the old dragon so they all knew the importance.

The second dragon then said "Ancestor I will see that all the materials will be ready for Vora for the journey of inheritance." They all knew that there was only one exit and entrance for the inheritance and it will take a lot of time during the selection of the legacy so arrangements were required before going

The first elder then said "I will tighten the troops at the borders and will deploy a dragon elder at required forts as we don't know what the devils are planning."

The old dragon was satisfied by the response of the two elders and said "First elder should also talk with the other six cities and we should have all the forts and cities to be at 10 star defense active. I will let you all discuss about the rest"

The old dragon left the elders who were now discussing about the preparations of the war.

 
























  

Dragon clan Part 2

The old dragon took James in front of an ancient statue and then the old dragon turned his sight towards James and asked " Human boy keep your hands on the claw of the statue."

James did as he was asked and kept his hand on the statues claws. A mysterious energy enveloped the hand of James and then the energy disappeared.

The old dragon then opened his mouth "Good now we can talk now. You must be thinking why I asked you to do this."


James nodded.

The dragon said "The devils had a technique which could help them in getting their shape and aura change into any race so the only way to check whether a person is devil or not is to check its bloodline and the statue you saw there had checked your lineage and had confirmed that you were not a devil."

James was able to accept as he had known from Nactoral that the devils were not of any race so they could transform into any race but they don't have the same bloodline as the devils bloodline are corrupted by the darkness so they could never transform their bloodline. So to stop the invasion of spies in the guardians clan they would have to use this checking technique.

The dragon didn't wait for James to say something and continued "So Nactoral has chosen as a special one and I could see it as you are very special as I have seen no human strong as you are to be so strong. Lets not talk about it , so what matter does you need my help with?"

James knew that Nactoral had given him the key as if in any situation I needed to get help from his clan .

James then sighed and said "Nactoral had trained me so I wanted to do something for him and so I came to you to get some help."

James wanted to clear the mission of the system while also helping in the noble cause of Nactoral by training 7 young warriors of different races.

James then explained his whole reason for coming to help them.

The dragon paused to think of something and asked "The devils are back , aren't they?"

James nodded.

"So the time has come , you will have to wait for 3 days before I could send some young ones to be trained. Who would have thought that this situation will occur after the sudden death of Nactoral , no the devils are the reason that he died."The old dragon sighed and then called a dragon

"Jase you will show the human boy around the town. I have some important work to do."Old dragon said

Jase exited with James while the old dragon remained silent there for some time. He moved towards the statue and then pulled a lever.

A hidden door was opened and then he moved inside the secret room where a magic inscription was made , he kept his hand on the magic inscription. The inscription shined before disappearing and then he sat on the chair for sometime before some images of six other guardians image. The seven were sitting in position around a table , where the old dragon was sitting at the edge of the table which was the head seat while the rest six were sitting in a pair of three facing each other.

The human representative was the one who asked "Old dragon what is the reason you have called us urgently."

The old dragon had used the emergency notification inscription for arranging an emergency meeting.

The old dragon sighed and then said " I have 2 bad news for you guys.

First : Nactoral is dead and I don't know if you know this or not."

All other six representative were shocked as they knew how strong Nactoral was as he was given the title of the Dragon emperor which was given to the strongest dragon of every generation and so he can he said to be the peak powerhouse and only the hidden powerhouses could have fought him.

The elephant representative then asked "Old dragon who killed him?" He can't still believe as to kill Nactoral was not an easy job and one needed to form a plan as he could escape in difficult situations.

"So the second issue is related to his death." Old dragon too a heavy sigh before continuing "The devils are going to make a comeback and we need to start preparing."

All the other six representatives were shocked as the devils were the taboo of the seven guardian races or even other races as they were cruel and merciless with them when they were ruling the world.

The old dragon continue " I want all of you to send me a promising young member of your race so that we can train them through someone I know."

The rest looked at him and asked "Who will train them?"

The old dragon said "Nactoral has given his legacy to someone and that person wants to train 7 young warriors in difficult times and that includes actual war as he is thinking of going to the forbidden zone for taking some revenge for Nactoral."

All six were shocked as even they would not think of going to the forbidden zone.


// The forbidden zone is the forest beyond which lies a canyon where the devils who ha escaped had created a lot of ambushes and anyone who has gone there has not came back alive except for Nactoral.

Dragon clan

James had been successfully transmitted to Fairy tail world and was now resting as suddenly he got a notification.

Ding! Ding!

James was happy to help White beard as he was depending on him for building his organization.

James was transported at the front of Nactorals cave and he knew that to get out of this place , he could use the transmission created by Nactoral.

James entered Nactorals cave and he saw that on the corner of the cave there was a picture of Nactoral so he went towards the picture and then kept his hand on the picture.

The picture shined and James was transported outside a towns gate.

James then walked towards the town gate and then entered the town.

James was shocked to see that there were different races people in the town , he could see a elves tea shop , a blacksmiths shop and different types of shops and the people were not effected by each other.

Then James saw a group of guards which were mainly humans and elves were patrolling the areas and were talking happily with the people of the town as though they had just come for shopping.

James was shocked to see this scene as he had never in his life thought that all the species could live easily together.

One of the human guards saw the shock on the face of James so he came with a cup of juice towards James and said to him "Friend you don't seem from here."

"How do you know?"James asked with suspicion

The guard saw the vigilant face of James and smiled "You don't need to worry , here in the kingdom of the wise no clan or races are treated unjustly. Here everyone is seen as same so you don't have to be suspicious. You must have come from the dark kingdom as there a mass war is going on among the races for the throne of the wiseman but our kingdom has nothing to do with it as we are under the protection of the seven races who have formed an alliance among them. The dragons , humans , elves , dwarves , elephant , phoneix and fox. This kingdom is  guarded by these strong clans so you don't have to worry about it."The guard had filled about all the details how this kingdom and its seven cities were created which were ruled by alliance members.

James when saw the peaceful environment of the place , he came to a conclusion that it would be better if he could train 7 people under him as it would be better for him to support a peaceful environment and they could be able to strengthen the foundation of the kingdom.

 James then asked the guard about the city dragons were guarding as he knew from the guard that each city had a restricted area which belonged to the city guardians which are the seven races.

The guard told James casually as all new people coming to the kingdom want to know about the dragons first if they are humans as they are the peak powerhouses and so Ancient city which was under the protection of the dragons  was the safest place in the kingdom and those who try to be arrogant in that city was buried under the soil of the city. The city was located at the center of the kingdom as it was the biggest and the most strategic city as the kingdoms creation was started from the city.

The Ancient city is the center while the six cities are protecting it from invasion.

James then went to the transmission to the ancient city as only through the transmission one can go to there. James was transmitted for free as the transmission cost was not taken from the 7 guardian races so he was transmitted for free.

James when exited the transmission of the ancient city , he was shocked as the city was he was transmitted from was huge but this city was larger , no no a lot larger than the other one.

James then saw that there were dragon guards who were huge not that comparable to Nactoral but still huge.

James without wasting time came towards the entry of the restriction area of the city where he saw a huge door with a big key hole.

James took out the key he had received from Nactoral and then inserted the key and open the door but when he was going to turn the key he was transmitted with the key.

James when was transmitted was able to see big dragons statue in the hall where he was and then he saw an old dragon walking slowly towards him and asked him slowly "Human boy for what purpose have you come to the temple..."

When he was about to complete the question he stopped and then glared at James with his eyes. The glare had almost took the life of James as he was almost not able to breathe when glared by the old dragon.

The old dragon then took a deep breath and asked "Nactoral has died , hasn't he?"

James only nodded as he was not able to speak in front of this old dragon.

The old dragon sighed heavily and said "You follow me." And  led James inside the ancient temple.
